In this Press a toothed upper blade slits/cuts a sheet in conjunction with a straight stationary lower blade at right angle to the feeding direction in such a way that a web of certain width remains standing and which is stretched when the upper blade goes down.

The cycle is repeated with the next stroke of the blade  and all the operations of slitting, stretching and feeding are automatic.
